Common questions

Is the group chat end-to-end encrypted?

Yes, when E2EE is enabled on a trip (the default). Messages are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before being sent. Only trip members can decrypt them.

What can the @tripkit AI assistant do?

The AI assistant can answer questions about your trip — itinerary items, expense summaries, destination information, and more. It has context about your specific trip.

Does the AI work on end-to-end encrypted trips?

No. When E2EE is enabled the server cannot read message content, so the AI assistant is disabled for those trips.
